Unitherm Heating Systems History

History

Unitherm was established by Declan Kissane and Peter Lynskey in 2004. With offices in both Dublin and Galway, both founders had long established roots in the heating industry having spent a large part of their careers working at the pinnacle of Ireland’s heating industry.

From their experience they saw the future in renewable heating for domestic and commercial Air to Water Heat Pump systems.

2008 was an exciting year for Unitherm, as they were requested by Daikin Ireland to incorporate their air to water heat pumps into Unitherm system designs. In distributing this newly emerging technology Unitherm demonstrated confidence in the technology by backing up their heat pump systems with their highly skilled design and support team.

Drawing on its successes with distributing Daikin heat pumps Unitherm launched the Hitachi series of heat pumps to the Irish market in 2017. Unitherm were extremely proud to have been afforded the honour of including one of the best performing heat pumps on the market to their portfolio.

Unitherm’s portfolio strengthens further with the announcement of their exclusive partnership with global manufacturing giant LG in 2018. LG’s new Therma V R32 Monobloc range is the world’s first R32 Monobloc heat pump, another pioneering development in heat pump technology.

Unitherm proudly open their southern office in Cork in 2019. This new office, warehouse and training centre demonstrates Unitherm’s commitment to servicing the needs of their customers and partners in the Munster region.

In 2021 Unitherm’s success continued with their expansion into the UK market. Opening their first office in Exeter in the south, Unitherm have now become an international company. The UK office includes a state-of-the-art Training Centre with various courses running monthly.
